Student Government Association
Ben Herbsman, now a junior, is beginning his second term as a Student Government Representative. He is a member of the SGA Executive Board, serving as the Executive Secretary, and also serves on the Student Services committee. He is serving his second term as a student representative on the College Committee on Information Technology (CCIT) as well. Ben also manages the SGA website. Ben is a committed, hard-working, and passionate representative who strives to meet the needs of both his constituents and fellow SGA representatives.
Aside from his involvement with SGA, Ben works as a Resident Technician at the OIT Student Help Desk and an Assistive Technology Specialist for the Office of Disability Services. He is also in the RJ Fellows honors program.
Ben is a neuroscience major and public health minor at Muhlenberg College. He hopes to pursue a career in the intersecting fields of public health and healthcare information technology and plans on getting his Master’s in either Public Health or Health Informatics after Muhlenberg. He has worked on public health/healthcare technology projects at the New York City Department of Health in the past and hopes to continue working in the field after graduating.
A graduate of Cheshire Academy, Ben lives in Westport, Connecticut with his family, where he is the oldest of two.
