Let's
get Involved!
Class Council
If you would like to help your class, the first
step is to attend the class council meetings. Please contact your
respective class president for weekly meeting times & locations.
Want to chair a committee within your class council?
Attend the class council meetings where you can volunteer to help
with a specific event. Examples of committees are the invitation,
decoration, and advertising committees for a class sponsored dance.
You can chose to be a member of these committees or even become
a committee chair.
Have an idea for an event? Come to a class council
meeting! Here we can plan your idea, discuss improvements, and brainstorm
possibilities to ensure success.
Although class councils are required to attend
these meetings, any member from the respective class can become
a leader within their class councils. You can contact the class
president of your year (please refer to the Class link) and ask
let them know you're interested in becoming involved.
Student Government
If you would like to attend student government
meetings with the entire school, all are welcome to attend. They
are located on third floor Haas every Thursday night at 7:00pm.
Please check the Council Calendar for specific dates.
There are several committees within the student
government that are open to the entire school for participation.
These committees include: Athletics, Finance, Dining, Campus &
Community Affairs, Academics, & Campus Safety. To learn more
about the committees click here to read their descriptions &
meeting times. All members of the student body are welcome to the
committees and are encouraged to participate.
Want to start your own club on campus?
In order for a club to receive student council
funding, you must be an officially approved club on campus. For
the first steps in becoming approved, please contact Christopher
Jachimowicz, the Director of the Student Leadership Development,
at ext. x3733.
