  2007 Alumni Game -  09/29/07
  

 

  


 

 

Seven returning alumni players and the six seniors teamed up to take on the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in a game filled with smiles. Last year’s championship captain Pete Palomaki ’07, Brendan Haney ’06, Joe Grinenko ’04, Ben Ginter '98, Marko Kipa '98, Jason Weiss ’98, and Adam Dratch ’89 were on the victorious team. Anna Cosgrove ‘07 also was there to lend her support. The final score was 7-4 in favor of the “old guys”, but judging by the laughter and chatter, the score was incidental to the fun that was had by all. Following the game, the Alumni Association sponsored a light reception. The game was a great addition to the annual Homecoming Weekend activities.  Thanks to our alums for all their support!

  06-07 Squad Downs Alums 9-6 -  10/15/06

 
Nine Alumni from as far back as 1996 took the ice homecoming weekend to challenge the 06-07 Mules.  Each year the gap gets smaller, this season the Alumns came within three goals for the closet game yet.  Thanks to all who returned to campus this weekend.
  05-06 Squad Downs Alums 11-7 - 10/10/05

 
Homecoming 2005 saw the turnout for the 2nd Alumni game nearly double over last year.  The game was close through the first two periods and saw a 5-5 tie at the intermission.  Then the youngsters lit up the alums with a barrage of 6 third periods goals to put it away.  Everyone had a great time.  Thank you to all alums for your support! 
  2nd Annual Alumni Game Scheduled - 6/1/05

Muhlenberg Ice Hockey's Second Annual Alumni Game is scheduled to take place on homecoming weekend, Saturday October 8th at 5pm, just after the football game.  The game will be held just minutes from campus at Lehigh Valley Ice Arena in Whitehall, PA.  All hockey alum are welcome to come out and lace 'em up.  Meet the current team and enjoy a friendly game with fellow alumni.  If you would like to be involved or have any questions, please contact GM Bredlau at (pbredlau@muhlneberg.edu).  More information will be available over the summer.

  Five New Alumni Join the Ranks - 5/23/05

With the graduation of the class of 2005 five more skaters have now become alums.  Captain Dan Kaplan, Assistant Captain Allan Rotlewicz, Justin Baptist, Chris Bax, and Chris Cella.  Good luck to you all, we hope to see each of you at the Alumni Game in the fall.
  First Alumni Game a Success - 10/2/04

 
The First Annual Alumni Game was a success!  A big thank you to those that participated.  We welcome all alumni at our games throughout the season.  Stop by and say hello to the team if you come.  Thank you for all of your support.

  David Greenspan '83 - 9/30/04

I think it's great what you have done for the team and I only wish you were around in the early 80's. Playing hockey was fun. Most of the players were made up of ATO members although I was one of the few exceptions.

I wish I could play in the alumni game, but I live in CA. Still playing hockey twice a week in Oakland and San Jose. I captain the team in Oakland-that way they can't kick me off for lack of talent. If you play video games, I am actually in the 989 Studios/Sony Face Off 2001 or 2 edition (Curtis Joseph on the cover) and I am listed as Hans Greenspan on the German national team. I also appear in the Midway hockey game (Stevens and Pronger covers) under the Midway team.

  Adam Dratch '89 - 9/10/04
I played for Muhlenberg Ice Hockey from 1985 until 1989. At that time the league consisted of a few college teams and men's league teams in the same league. Men's teams were Stahleys Bar, Easton News, Chiefs to name a few. We actually won the league at least two years, but to tell you the truth it is all a blur now. I graduated Muhlenberg and am now a practicing Nephrologist in the Lehigh Valley and live here with my family. I am still very involved in ice hockey and play Sunday mornings at the Skate Zone, actually with some of the guys that were on some of the men's league teams we played. I also play in the men's leagues at the Skate Zone.
