| Head Coach - Ken Latteman | |
|
Ken Latteman is our new head coach. Coach Latteman has been involved with ice hockey for over 40 years. He began playing hockey in northern New Jersey, having played for the Essex Comets in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and for the NJ Spartans semi-pro hockey club as a defenseman. After a few years playing for the Spartans, Coach Latteman started coaching high school hockey in New Jersey back in the mid-70s. For the past 13 years he has coached club travel & scholastic hockey in the Lehigh Valley area. His teams have won championships at both, and many of his former players have gone on to continue playing hockey in college. In addition, his teams have played in tournaments throughout the Mid-Atlantic States and eastern Canada. Coach Latteman can be contacted at klatteman@muhlenberg.edu. |
| Associate Head Coach - Bill Nixon | |
|
Bill Nixon is our new associate head coach. As is the case with many coaches, Coach Nixon became involved with ice hockey when his son, Brian, began playing as a mite over 20 years ago. That began a love affair for the game that has continued to this day. Coach Nixon has been involved with coaching hockey since 1994 at both the high-school and club travel levels. He has always made himself available to help run clinics, and has worked closely with the New Jersey Devils to help promote ice hockey in western New Jersey. Each year, he is routinely invited to attend the Devils training camp. Having enjoyed a career as both a teacher and school administrator, Coach Nixon is a true instructor of the game. Coach Latteman and Coach Nixon have been coaching together for the past twelve seasons.
Coach Nixon can be contacted at bnixon@muhlenberg.edu.

Shelley Latteman is our very talented action photographer. Shelley first became serious about photography in college, taking and developing black and white photos. Later, she enlarged her repertoire to color photography, especially while on vacation. When her husband Ken began coaching hockey, it was a natural progression for Shelley to find herself rink side capturing the game highlights, and also serving as each team's "portrait" photographer. The Mules are very lucky to have Shelley as our own personal team photographer, with a specialty of capturing the Mule's exploits on the ice. |
