| Head Coach - Ken Latteman | |
|
Head Coach Ken Latteman has been involved with ice hockey for over 40 years. He began playing hockey in northern New Jersey, having played for the Essex Comets in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and for the NJ Spartans semi-pro hockey club as a defenseman. After a few years playing for the Spartans, Coach Latteman started coaching high school hockey in New Jersey back in the mid-70s. For 13 years, he coached club travel & scholastic hockey in the Lehigh Valley area. His teams have won championships at both, and many of his former players have gone on to continue playing hockey in college. In addition, his teams have played in tournaments throughout the Mid-Atlantic States and eastern Canada. Coach Latteman is starting his seventh season coaching the Mules. Associate Head Coach Bill Nixon has been involved with ice hockey for the past twenty six years; as a player, spectator, student of the game or a coach. Coaching from mites-midget, high school and club travel levels. This is his sixth year with the Muhlenberg Ice Hockey Team. Bill retired as a Grade Level Principal from Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ. He is a graduate from Temple University and received his MED/Principals certification from East Stroudsburg University. He is married (44 years), to his wife Carol. Bill and Carol have two children, Brian and Tracy and four grandchildren, Madison, Brady, Nathaniel and Tyler. Coach Latteman and Coach Nixon have been coaching together for nearly two decades. Assistant Coach Unrue has been involved with ice hockey for the past 12 years. He has coached all youth levels from Atom to Midget Major A, AA, and AAA. He has also coached Middle School, JV, & high school teams. This is Coach Unrue's fourth years as an assistant coach with the team. He is married (27 years) and has two children.
