In this tough economy, it is very important to show potential donors that the Muhlenberg faculty and staff believe strongly in the College and its comprehensive campaign, The Talents Entrusted to Our Care. One way we can do this is by making a commitment to support the College's programs and students through an annual gift to The Muhlenberg Fund. Research on institutional fundraising has shown that the higher the percentage of employees who give to an institution, the more likely a prospective donor/foundation/corporation will make a gift. Recent funds received by Muhlenberg from The Kresge Foundation and the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, for example, were both dependent on a high participation rate of faculty/staff giving.
Some of us give regularly through payroll deduction; if you’re one of them, thank you for your ongoing support of the College! If you don’t give through payroll deduction, or you don’t regularly make an annual gift, you may not realize how little it takes to make a big difference each year. (Click here for information on Payroll Deduction and Matching Gifts.) If you contribute one hour per month of your salary to The Muhlenberg Fund, you will support worthy students, who benefit from your mentorship, and their families, who struggle to keep their sons and daughters in your classroom. Every gift – no matter the size – improves our participation rate and compounds the benefits from national funding sources.
During this, the final year of the Talents Campaign, as we navigate uncertain economic times, our collective gifts will have an impact on our students. We hope you’ll join us in supporting our students and our work.
Gifts to The Muhlenberg Fund count as gifts to the campaign. You can make your gift by cash, check or payroll deduction (download Payroll Deduction Form at right).
