Reaches 54% Participation!
March 22, 2010
Thanks to the hard work of the Faculty/Staff Campaign Committee, as of March 15, 54% of Muhlenberg’s staff and faculty have made gifts to The Talents Entrusted to Our Care Campaign! Many employees have signed on for monthly gifts made through payroll deduction, and several departments boast 100% participation (see below). A breakdown of participation rates is as follows:
56% of faculty
74% of administrators
37% of support staff
Total: 54% of all employees (265 out of 494)
Employees who made gifts received buttons that allowed them to receive a free cup of coffee or tea on various dates throughout the year (Next free coffee day is April 6!), courtesy of Sodexo. When a department reaches 100% participation, they are celebrated with a cake, also courtesy of Sodexo.
Financial support from Muhlenberg employees – who already give their time, effort, ideas and energy – solidifies Muhlenberg’s mission and brings the College closer to bringing the Talents Campaign home on June 30, 2010. The College is profoundly grateful to all those who have made a gift in support of the Faculty/Staff Campaign.
“Our reasons for giving are varied,” says Ellen G. Pothering ’89, P’07, controller and Faculty/Staff Campaign Committee member. “We value the educational experience Muhlenberg provides each student, we appreciate the overall positive campus atmosphere and we believe that the College is contributing to the betterment of our community. We believe that Muhlenberg is worthy of our support.”
Congratulations and thank you to the following departments that have achieved 100% participation:
Community Service Office
Dean of Students
Development and Alumni Relations Office
Egner Memorial Chapel
Office of Global Education
Institute for Jewish/Christian Understanding (IJCU)
Martin Art Gallery
