East
is Muhlenbergs oldest residence hall, dating back to 1903. East Hall is
divided into seven different sections and is coed by floor or wing within the
sections. Each room in East unique in its size, shape and design. East Hall has a study lounge on its third floor with computers. To increase
their access to study space, East Hall residents have access to the Underground
Lounge in Martin Luther Hall. First year students
are ineligible for openings in East.
Martin Luther Hall
was constructed in 1957 and renovated in 1977. It houses 240 upperclass men and
women in singles, doubles and triples. Martin Luther has one computer lab, a
study lounge and a large social lounge, known as The Underground. The Underground
is equipped with a TV, vending machines and a kitchen. The Underground
is a focal point for many campus events. First year students are ineligible for openings in Martin Luther Hall.
East
Quad is the lawn area enclosed by Martin Luther and East Halls. It provides an
area for students to hang out outside, as well as an area for events like OctoberFest
and EastFest, which include bands, outdoor dining, and carnival games and festivities.
