Olivier Jean-Pierre '15
What advice does Olivier Jean-Pierre ’15 plan to share with his fellow graduates?
Olivier, a religion studies and sociology double major, was selected to address his peer at the 167th Commencement ceremonies of Muhlenberg College. The Class of 2015 will welcome friends, family, staff and faculty as they gather for the Baccalaureate ceremony on Saturday, May 16 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. for Commencement.
“I am humbled by the opportunity. I don't take it lightly that the Class of 2015 would give me the responsibility to give this address,” says Olivier. “The last four years, for many of us, were among the most transformative of our lives. I think it's necessary to process our time here before we move forward.”
Dr. Ronald Crutcher, national leader in higher education, will serve as commencement speaker; honorary degrees will be awarded to Dr. Eric H. Cline, Ed Harris, Jackie MacMullan and Joia S. Mukherjee, M.D. For full biographies of Dr. Crutcher and the honorary degree recipients, visit our News Center.
