Professor Arthur Raymond joined the Muhlenberg Faculty in 1991. He holds a B.S. from Bryant University and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Tufts University. Dr. Raymond currently teaches Econometrics, Investments & Portfolios, and Principles of Microeconomics. Dr. Raymond’s research initially focused on the nature of exchange risk in floating exchange rate systems and he published scholarly papers in the area. His current professional activity focuses on economic education and testing. He has served the Educational Testing Service and the College Board as the Chief Faculty Consultant and Chief Reader for the Advanced Placement Program in Economics and was reappointed in 2011 to that role for the Advanced Placement Program in Macroeconomics. As Chief Reader, Dr. Raymond speaks at numerous workshops and national conferences on the testing and teaching of economics. He currently serves as Chair of the Accounting, Business, and Economics Department. Dr. Raymond and his wife, Joanne, reside in Allentown.
