Ermira Mazziotta received her BS from University of Tirana, Albania and an MBA (Master of Business Administration/Accounting) from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ermira’s academic experience started with Delaware Valley University where she taught accounting courses for Business Administration for over seven years.
Prior to beginning her teaching career, Ermira worked for Ernst & Young LLP and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Ermira is a Certified Public Accountant with the state of Pennsylvania and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Ermira’s areas of research and inquiry address accounting education, globalization of the accounting standards and correlation between fraud and internal controls.
Ermira lives in the Lehigh Valley with her family. When she is not teaching or doing research she enjoys outdoors and travelling. She loves to learn more about other countries and cultures, she speaks English, Albanian and Italian.
