Applicant Information for 2021 Cycle

MUHLENBERG COLLEGE’S
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR APPLICANTS
(current students and alumni)
TO PROFESSIONAL GRADUATE SCHOOLS
FOR THE 2021 CYCLE

Before any materials can be forwarded to professional graduate schools on behalf of applicants, the following conditions established by the Health Professions Advising Office (HPA) must be met prior to October 1st, 2020: 

1.

 

Complete and submit to the Health Professions Advising office the Candidate Information Packet.

2.

 

Interview with the Director of HPA. 

3.

 

Submit requisite graduate exam scores/results to the HPA office (i.e. MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE etc.)

4.

 

Evaluation letter from an osteopathic physician (D.O.) If you intended to apply to an osteopathic medical school.

5.

 

Arrange for a minimum of three evaluations from Muhlenberg faculty to be sent to the HPA office.

6.

 

Check with the HPA staff to be certain that all evaluation letters requested have been received. If the applciants makes any changes to their list of evaluators/letters writers, they must notify the HPA as soon as possible.

7.

 

Arrange with the college’s Registrar to have official transcripts sent to the application service/schools of his/her choice.  This includes trasncripts from any other colleges that the applicant has attended and/or received academic credit.

8.

 

Submit to the HPA an electronic copy of AMCAS/AACOMAS/AADSAS etc. immediately after he/she submits it online.  The copy must include the actual submission date/time, the complete list of schools to which you’re applying, and your personal statement.  The HPA office will not prepare your committee evaluation packet until all of these materials are received.

Request a committee letter through the appropriate application system (AMCAS, AACOMAS, AADSAS, etc.)

Each applicant’s goal should be to complete all secondary/supplemental applications before Labor Day Weekend in order to put him/herself in the best possible position to be granted early fall interview.

11.

 

If you are a re-applicant and have previously applied through Muhlenberg's HPA office, you do not need to complete a new CANDIDATE INFORMATION PACKET or have another interview (although you are welcome to do so and we advise updatoing your materials); however, you must submit a current resume and it is recommended that you touch base with the HPA to confirm that your file is complete.

12.

 

Sign the Candidate Agreement giving the HPA the ability to review academic and disciplinary records in the Dean's Office, in addition to writing the committee letter on behalf of the applicant.
