November 29, 2017 – Dr. Mirna Trauger and Camille Qualtere, lecturers of Spanish, presented their paper "Student Success through Universal Design in Post Secondary L2 Instruction" at the annual American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Nashville.
October 25, 2017 – Dr. Daniel Leisawitz presented a talk at the Center for Jewish History in NYC, entitled "Io so' jodìo romano: The Jewish-Roman Dialect Inside & Outside the Ghetto" as part of the Rome Lab Series, held in collaboration with the Primo Levi Center, Yeshiva Univesity, and Università di Roma La Sapienza. December 18, 2015 – Dr. Daniel Leisawitz, lecturer in Italian, had "Beyond Praxis: Leone de' Sommi's Apology of Theater and Judaism in his Quattro dialoghi in materia di rappresentazioni sceniche" published in Italica 92.2. He examines the first treatise on the art of theater direction, uncovering implicit defenses of secular theater and Jewish culture.
November 12, 2015 – Dr. Daniel Leisawitz, lecturer in Italian, delivered a paper on the Italian film director Roberto Rossellini at an academic conference at Franklin & Marshall College: "Italian Cinema in the Present Tense: New Narrative Practices from Adaptation to Transmedia and Transnational Cinema."
