Dr. Addo’s research and publications investigate the relationship among parenting, cultural and value systems on adolescent behavioral and academic outcomes. In relation to the work-family-life nexus, her research entails single-motherhood, social support, and positive child outcomes. Her work involves cross cultural studies conducted in Ghana and the Caribbean. Addo has a keen interest in testing the applicability of models that have been extensively used in western cultures, by using samples drawn from non-western cultures. While in grad school, she taught adjunct classes and held full-time jobs with not-for-profits.
