“The academics at Muhlenberg offer me a chance to explore my interests through different departments. Each discipline is a piece of a puzzle, and I enjoy the challenge of fitting them all together.”
Felisa Wiley ’16 comes to Muhlenberg College from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She's a Major, and Double Minor; involved with Student Government; serves in the Cardinal Key Society; and acts as a tour guide and student blogger.
At the heart of the social sciences is a curiosity about human beings, the communities they form and the institutions they build. With interests as wide-ranging and diverse as human beings themselves, Felisa epitomizes this kind of curiosity.
A graduate of the Antilles School in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Wiley takes an active role on campus. “Muhlenberg has allowed me to realize what I am capable of.”
Wiley doesn’t study media only in the classroom. She's not just a model student, but a student model, appearing as a final four contestant on the Oxygen TV show 'The Face.' With practical experience of the realities of the industry, her return to the intellectual rigors of Muhlenberg has been rewarding.
“I didn’t expect college to become a second home to me,” says Wiley. “All I do here is think.”
