Rabbi Benjamin Paul David, right
| ’99 | Carey (Hilton) and Steven Brady ’98 are pleased to announce their marriage on January 10, 2004. Victoria N. Burse earned a master’s degree from Wilkes University in educational development and strategies in January 2004. Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion is proud to announce the ordination of Rabbi Benjamin Paul David on May 23, 2004. Benjamin will be pursuing a doctorate in contemporary Jewish literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. In addition, he will continue to write and teach adult education courses. Benjamin DiLorenzo and Stacy DeVries ’02 are pleased to announce their engagement. Ben is an Associate with the Florham Park, NJ office of Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. Stacy recently received her master’s degree in educational psycholgy and is beginning an internship as a school psychologist with the Franklin Lakes School District. The couple looks forward to an April, 2005 wedding. Richard and Jamie (Hollender) Cariddi were married September 13, 2003, at the Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, N.Y. Alumni in attendance included Ellen and Chris McClary, Jaime Fabricant, Stacey Devine, maid of honor Danielle Gieniec, Katy duFosse, Kellie (McVaugh) McGowan, Jamie Sweeney, Laura Hamilton and Jackie Miners.

On May 17, 2004, Jason M. Hartman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine receiving honors on both parts I and II of the National Boards. He is a dental resident at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus and resides in Bethlehem, Pa. On May 15, 2004, Theresa Kehl received her M.D. from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. and was promoted to captain, U.S. Army. She will began her pediatric internship in July at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Wash. Mark Koup writes that on May 17, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Other ’Berg alumni receiving their D.M.D. degrees were Jason Hartman, Aaron Miller ’00, Ryan Graver ’01 and Sarah Sibbach ’01. On September 19, 2004 Craig and Abi (Graham) Reed were married in Ridley Creek State Park, Media, Pa. Susan (Kraaij) Day was matron of honor. Abi is the marketing associate for the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia and Craig is a systems integration analyst for Lockheed Martin. The couple resides in Media, Pa.

Rick and Jill (Roth) Williams
Abbie Rinehart is currently teaching first grade in Cinnaminson, N.J. and is looking forward to getting married to Jim Fyke on December 18, 2004. Heather Skopak writes, “While teaching first and second grades and then as an academic coach, I worked towards my master’s in administration and supervision. In May 2004, I received my master’s in leadership in teaching in administration and supervision from the College of Notre Dame of Md. I am currently applying for assistant principal positions in Md. Celebrated my first wedding anniversary in May 2004.” Nicole Renee Bonarrigo and Ernest Michael Sully, Jr., both of Jim Thorpe, Pa., exchanged wedding vows May 29, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe. A 2003 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, the groom is a second year emergency medicine resident at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The bride graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and is a first-year family medicine resident at Lehigh Valley Hospital. On May 8, 2004 Rick and Jill (Roth) Williams were married in St. Thomas Moore Church in Allentown, Pa. Bridesmaids included Sarah (Clarke) Missner and Lauren Krakowski ’98. Also in attendance were Tracy McGee and Sarah Schiavoni. Jill is a marketing/sales rep for Richardson Electronics in Skippack, Pa. and Rick is a Pennsylvania State Trooper. The couple resides in Allentown.

James and Melissa (Nardi) Kilka ’00
| ’00 | After finishing a year as an associate at a boutique law firm in Washington, D.C., Scott Burke returned to the academy to pursue his LL.M. (an advanced law degree) at George Washington University Law School. Scott obtained his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2003. Kimberly Curtiss was awarded a Smithsonian American Art Museum Fellowship. Aaron Dorfman writes, “I am pleased to announce that on May 23, 2004 Julie Goldberg ’02 and I were married in Philadelphia. Many Muhlenberg alumni were present. I also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and have begun my pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.” Matthew Hittinger received his master of fine arts in creative writing on April 30, 2004 from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He recently won a Hopwood Award for Poetry and the Helen S. and John Wagner Prize for his poetry manuscript, “The Erotic Postulate” in the prestigious Avery Hopwood and Jule Hopwood Contest at The University of Michigan. Matthew has poems published or forthcoming in “Fine Madness;” “Mantis: A Journal of Poetry, Criticism & Translation;” and “parlorgames.”

Daniel and Janna (Schuster) Rosenthal ’00
Julie Kaltenbaugh is currently pursuing her M.B.A. at Loyola College in Md. while continuing to work for Legg Mason in downtown Baltimore. She is engaged to Brian Hill, an alumnus of Gettysburg College. The couple is planning a summer ’05 wedding. Shannon Lowther is living and working in Va. and is getting married on April 2, 2005. On November 8, 2003, Melissa Christine Nardi married James Arthur Kilka. Elizabeth Kostelnick ’02, Kristen Best ’03, Tammy (Rismiller) Murray, Beth Hughes and Karen Konopelski were in the wedding party. Other alumni who celebrated with Mr. and Mrs. Kilka include Joan (Bean) ’77 and Mark Stephens ’76, Rick Sayles ’83, Lauren Stephen ’04, Christopher Owen, Thomas Murray, Lesley (Ullman) and Dan Nobleman, Lindsay Kay, Cristina Genna, Lisa Genna ’05, and Leonard Shaefer. On September 7, 2003, Daniel and Janna (Schuster) Rosenthal were married in Potomac, Md., with many Muhlenberg alumni in attendance. The Rosenthals live in Germantown, Md. Janna is the youth/program director at Congregation Olam Tikvah in Fairfax, Va., and Daniel is a marketing associate for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Ryan Thomas Smith of Bangor, Pa. was awarded the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ryan is currently an intern at St. Luke’s Hospital.
