'87 James D. Bove III, D.O. was recently named chief of surgery at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, the primary Southeastern Ohio teaching hospital for Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also recently chaired a committee to restructure the clinical faculty practice plan and college governance structure at OU-COM. He lives in Athens, Ohio with his wife Shari.

' 88 John Carhart reports that he is currently editing a feature documentary titled "Broadway - the Golden Ages", opening in theaters in December 2002, and assistant directing "Joe Fearless" opening on Broadway late winter 2002/early spring 2003. He lives in Jersey City, N.J.

' 89 Peter L. Angelini sends the following update: "After eight years of slugging it out as a family court litigator, I have now become a confidential law clerk to a family court judge. After a few more years I hope to run for judge. I have a son, who will soon be turning 5 years old. He looks great in his Muhlenberg sweater!!" Peter lives in New Hartford, N.Y. "" Kim Colman Moore published "Casualty of War," her first novel, in January 2002. Kim's book tells the story of Eileen Eliot, an American woman involved with Fran Sullivan, a member of the Irish Republican Army operating out of Boston. Moore credits Professor David Rosenwasser for her learning how to write well, and Muhlenberg's writing department for sharpening her storytelling skills. Kim lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband Steven. She is a medicare payment lobbyist for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

'90 Andrew and Stacey (Gilchick) Fabel were married on July 8, 2001,Photo Bride Stacey (Gilchick) Fabel and guests. at Fountainhead in New Rochelle, N.Y. They now reside in midtown Manhattan with their Boxer, Nola. Stacey is an attorney at Insignia/ ESG Inc., a large commercial real estate brokerage company in Manhattan. "" Ellen (Duffy) McNamara reports that she and her husband Todd '92 recently welcomed some 'Berg alums to their family's Ridgewood, N.J. home. Guests included Brian Masterson '91 and his wife, Kathy, Tom Gorman '91 and his wife, Maggie, and Akshay Kumar '89 and his wife, Auanta. Ellen is a stay-at-home mom, taking care of Charlie and Will, and Todd is a vice president/ fixed income sales at Credit Suisse First Boston. "" Scott Michelson proposed on April 6, 2002, to Miriam Thompson, and the couple is busily planning a January 2003 wedding. They live in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Scott is a loan officer with America's MoneyLine, and Miriam is going on her fourth year with the Marriott Corporation.

'91 After getting his M.A. in American history from Temple, Jefferson Slatoff and his family "left Philly for greener pastures." Jefferson is currently teaching history and economics in Greencastle, Pa. He and his wife Heather '92, a bridal consultant, will be celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. The couple has two sons, Nicholas, age 6, and Tyler, age 5. "" Joseph E. Zeszotarski Jr. has become a partner in the firm Poyner & Spruill LLP. Joe practices in the areas of white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation and appeals. He represents clients in criminal matters at the grand jury, trial, and appellate levels in the areas of fraud, tax crimes, money laundering, customs violations, health care fraud, drug crimes, and violent crimes. Poyner & Spruill LLP is a full service, regional law firm with offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and Rocky Mount.
"" Corina C. Battista and Kevin J. McNeley recently relocated to Maryland. Their move was prompted by KevinÕs new job with Telogy Networks, a subsidiary of Texas Instruments. Corina is a product manager with Lucent Technologies, working out of their new Mount Airy home, which she also shares with stepchildren, Michael John and Shawn Eugene. "" Beth (Hammon) and Ray Johnson Jr. will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19, 2002. They now have two daughters, Mary Katherine (2 years old) and Sara Elizabeth, who was born on New Years Eve 2001. They recently built their dream home on seven acres along a stream in New Tripoli, Pa.

'92 Sherry (Barber) Goodrum is an attorney with Miller & Lee, P.C. in Columbus, Ga. She writes, "I recently appeared on a talk program on the NBC affiliate in Columbus to discuss estate planning." "" Norbert Hanke and Caroline Hummel celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary on January 11. The couple has two children, Elizabeth, age 3 1/2 and Claire, age 2. Norbert writes, "I have been running my own business since May 1993. I sell non-sports trading cards and collectibles at sports card and collectible shows throughout Photo of Happy-Joel Uusiku, D.D.S.'s wedding. New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut." The family lives in Rahway, N.J."" Happy-Joel Uusiku, D.D.S. and Anni-Liina Hatutale, M.D. were married on Sept. 1, 2001. They are now living and working in the Outapi District Hospital in the Omusati region of northern Namibia.

ISO: 'Berg  sports stars

If you have ever wondered what happened to the captain of the football team, the guy who played shortstop during your sophomore year or the field hockey player who lived down the hall, here's your chance to find out.
The staff of the Muhlenberg magazine is in the process of putting together a feature story about past Muhlenberg athletes and where life after the 'Berg has taken them, and we need your help. We are asking Muhlenberg sports fans to submit the names of those former athletes they would most like to read about in an upcoming issue of the magazine and what they most remember about that particular athlete. Then, based on the responses we receive, we will do our best to catch up with as many of these 'Berg sports stars as possible and report back to you in a future edition of the magazine.
