| ’97 | Jill Borin, who recently completed her master’s in library and information science from Rutgers University, reports that she has been the reference librarian at Widener University, in Chester, Pa., since August 2002. She sends the following news about her job: “As the reference staff is small, I have the opportunity to work in many aspects of academic librarianship. In addition to providing reference service, I am liaison to the history department, the Center for Social Work Education and many social science departments. For these departments, I teach library instruction classes to graduate and undergraduate classes and provide library service to faculty members. I also work in the Widener University Archives where I process collections, work on Web development, write grant proposals and implement many preservation projects. I have used audio editing software to edit an oral history that is now on the Archives Web Site and plan to edit more oral histories. I find this career rewarding.
