'94Jennifer (Ruckstuhl) Bariso and her husband, Todd, proudly announce the arrival of their twins - Amanda Marie Bariso (Godmother is Lisa (Prisco) McCarty) and Benjamin Robert Bariso - born on June 19, 2001. Jennifer is now attending the College of St. Elizabeth and pursuing her teaching certification while staying at home with the twins. She will complete the certification program by the end of 2002. The family resides in Butler, N.J. Bryan and Nicole (Evans) Bassett are thrilled to announce the arrival of their son, Rylan Chayse on September 29, 2001. Nicole is stay-at-home mom for Rylan, his big sister, Jera (4 years old) and big brother, Evan (2 years old) in Macungie, Pa.
Anoure (DeFrain) Fenstermaker and her husband Robert Fenstermaker are pleased to announce that they are expecting their first child in April 2002. The growing family lives in New Tripoli, Pa. Karen R. (Murphy) McNamara was married to Jamie McNamara on September 29, 2001. Karen is a special education teacher in the Franklin Township School District in New Jersey and the couple lives in Franklin Park, N.J.
David Romano writes that he recently moved from Carlisle, Pa., to Lancaster, Pa., where he accepted a position with the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office. He is responsible for litigation and defense of indigent and low-income clientele in criminal, juvenile and protection-from-abuse matters. Jennifer Salvatori is the assistant director of Goodwill Industries in Long Island City, N.Y., where she is responsible for a vocational rehabilitation program for adults with psychiatric disabilities. Scott Shapleigh and his wife Aurora would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Leah Grace, born on September 28. Leah weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces. The family lives in Edgewater, Md. Kathleen (Fagan) Taylor sends the following update: "I graduated with a master's degree in social work from Fordham University in 1997. I have since been employed as a clinician at a psychiatric hospital and the director of social services at two long-term care facilities. I was married in June 1999 to David Taylor of Doylestown, Pa., and we recently welcomed our first born, Molly Anne, on August 6, 2001. My family and I currently reside in Doylestown." Steve Quinn married Nicole Sica '97 on May 27, 2001 in Parsippany, N.J. Nicole is a third-grade teacher at Kinnelon Schools in Kinnelon, N.J., and Steve is a guidance counselor at Bedford Schools in Bedford, N.Y.

Dr. Michael G. Benninghoff recently began his internship at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown. He and his wife Erin live in New Hope, Pa. Randall Scott Cochran was married to Jennifer Marie Barber on November 14, 1999 in Gross Point, Mich. Many Muhlenberg alums were in attendance including Emmett Sherman '93, Mike Coppola, Andy Smith, Sherrilyn Billger, Jim McMackin '96, Allison LaSapio, Nadine Karaskevicus, and the father of the groom, Robert Baker Cochran '64. Maya (Abad) Emmons and husband Charlie '94 are proud to announce the birth of their daughter Julienne Marie Emmons on November 17, 2001. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces. The family lives in Washington, D.C. Cynthia (Ziemann) Evancho and her husband, Dan, are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Maya Ann, born on September 3. Michael Geraci sends the following news: "I got engaged on August 17
to Aimee Denise Marchbanks. Our wedding is planned for April 2002. I also received my MBA from the University of Tampa in December 2000." Michael lives in Bradenton, Fla.
Cathieann (Rieff) Rowland is living in Valley Stream, N.Y., and employed as a high school math teacher at West Hempstead High School. She writes, "I got married on August 6, 2000 to a wonderful man named Eric Rowland!" Scott Spoerl and wife Julie (Boulanger) report some big news: The couple recently bought a new home and is expecting its first child in July. They live in Morris Plains, N.J. Sarah E. Wenger became engaged to Michael B. Silver in June 2001. Michael is currently in his second year of a general surgery residency at MCP Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Sarah is currently working as an academic advisor/instructor at the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. The couple will be married August 25, 2002. Cathy (Snyder) and Kort Wickenheiser are pleased to report that they are expecting their second child at the end of March 2002.
Paul Anderson graduated in June 2001 from Northeastern University with a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry and is now employed by Catalytic Materials in Holliston, Mass. Paul also leads the Student/Young Adult ministries at First Lutheran Church in downtown Boston. Lara (Beatus) Bushell reports that she recently married screenwriter/sitcom writer Jeff Bushell on November 3, 2001 in Malibu, Calif. Her maid of honor was classmate Sherri Levy. Laura works as a post production supervisor for the Warner Brothers' sitcom "Off Centre." The couple lives in Los Angeles. Dr. Alessandro (Alex) Bianchi, D.O. and wife Thomasine are expecting a visit from the stork on March 1, 2002. The growing family resides in Wilmington, Del. Gillian Crane is dean of summer programs with The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. She writes, "I recently moved to New York City and am dying to get in touch with 'Berg people who live in the city. I sing with a band called "Housewives On Prozac" and sing radio commercial jingles, in addition to working at a boarding school. Several of my students attend Muhlenberg now, and I am proud to be an alum." Stephanie Diem is pleased to announce her engagement to J. Gregory Knief, a Web technician with Hamptons Online, a Web development/hosting firm and Internet provider in Southampton, N.Y. Stephanie is a compliance assistant with Jennison Associates, LLC in Manhattan. Scott Hoppel is working for PenTeleData in Palmerton, Pa., as a commercial/ educational account executive, selling high-speed wide area fiber optic networks and high bandwidth Internet solutions (T1-> OC-3) to schools and businesses throughout Pennsylvania. Diana Rose Kayal married Michael Alden Simone of Shrewsbury, Mass., on April 21, 2001 in St. Anne's Church in West Paterson, N.J. Diana is a pharmaceutical sales specialist with Pharmacia Inc. and Mike works in the marketing department at Biogen Inc. in Cambridge, Mass. The couple resides in Holliston, Mass. Pete Shimkin and his wife Jodie are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Nicholas James Shimkin on May 19, 2001. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces. Pete is a leasing specialist at the real estate company of Jones Lang LaSalle and the family lives in Rockville Centre, N.Y.
