Israel is at the heart of Hillel’s work. Our goal is to inspire every Jewish college student to develop a meaningful and enduring relationship to Israel and to Israelis. Whether they want to engage in deep dialogue or are politically active in mobilizing others to support Israel, we enable students to share a rich connection to Israel and to each other as a people.

Hillel’s Israel engagement efforts focus on:

  • Israel Education: We aim to inspire our students and provide them with knowledge and tools in order for them to want to explore more, learn more and inspire others with the skills they have acquired. Hillel provides various Israel programs and events, designed to inspire our students with a variety of issues regarding the Israeli society - politics, culture, food, music, etc.
  • Israel Experience: We at Hillel believe that there is nothing better than experiencing things on your own, including Israel. There is nothing like seeing the holy sites, getting to know the people, tasting the food and hiking in the desert, to learn about Israel. Our Israel experience includes a free, 10-day trip to Israel, summer internships and a year-long experience for students who want to live it like a local. We try to find each student their right program (or programs), so they could experience Israel in the best way possible - by being there.
  • Israel Engagement: When it comes to Israel, Hillel tries to reach out to students in our community from all different backgrounds, viewpoints and to have a dialogue with everyone.

Muhlenberg Hillel has partnered with The Jewish Agency to bring an Israel Fellow to Campus. Our Israel Fellow, Liron, is here to show our students Israel and Israelis, and bring Israel to Muhlenberg.
