Muhlenberg College's strong first-year retention rate (92%) and small classes helped boost its U.S. News & World Report ranking seven spots, from #72 to #65 (tie), in the latest national rankings of liberal arts colleges released today.
"Our students enjoy truly life-altering undergraduate education experiences," said Muhlenberg College President John I. Williams, Jr. "Movement like this in such a prominent ranking helps more and more people throughout the U.S. and around the world discover why Muhlenberg College is one of the nation's very best places to learn."
The latest US News ranking reinforces other recent top rankings for Muhlenberg. Earlier this year, Princeton Review ranked Muhlenberg #1 for "Best College Theater" and #16 for "Best Campus Food."
The U.S. News National Liberal Arts Colleges rankings highlight colleges that emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.
