Alanna Jacobs '18 is an accounting and finance double major from Wyckoff, NJ. Alanna worked as a peer tutor since the fall of 2015 and this will be her first semester as a learning assistant. Alanna studied abroad in Alicante, Spain during the first semester of her junior year learning the language and living in the culture. Alanna is a proud member of Live in Color, Muhlenberg's Show Choir, and enjoys dancing in her free time.

Alyssa Cenci '19 is a neuroscience major from Toms River, NJ. The 2017-18 school year is Alyssa's first year working for the Academic Resource Center as a learning assistant and peer tutor for statistical analysis. Alyssa is interested in the medical field and working with patients, and is going to pursue a career as a physician assistant. Alyssa has a strong passion for art, specifically drawing, and loves spending her free time cartooning.

Andrew Rice '19 is a biochemistry major/English minor from Catasauqua, PA Andrew has worked for the Academic Resource Center since the spring of 2016 as a tutor for biology, chemistry, and math courses. He has also held workshops for Calculus I, General Chemistry I and General Chemistry II. Among his involvements, Andrew is proud of his research on campus, his position as a biology instructional assistant, and his position in the chemistry department stockroom. In his free time, Andrew also enjoys long-distance running and hopes to run in more races against Muhlenberg College's faculty.

Ann Palma ’20 is a mathematics major from Red Bank, NJ. She is currently also a part of the 7-12 secondary education certification program. Ann has been a Spanish and calculus tutor for the past semester and is super excited about becoming an LA! She is the coordinator for Shape It Up at Cleveland Elementary, as well as a volunteer for many other Office of Community Engagement weekly programs, including the Caring Place and Yoga Moves. In addition, she is a member of the Muhlenberg Activities Council and Alpha Phi Omega Service Organization. In her free time, Ann loves watching Friends, eating macaroni & cheese, and working with kids. She hopes to become a school principal in the future.

Annu Suresh '19 is a biology major and public health minor from Greencastle, PA. Annu has worked for the Academic Resource Center as a learning assistant for Intro Bio 1 and 2 since the fall of 2016. She has also tutored chemistry, psychology and biology since the spring of 2016. While Annu plans to attend medical school after her time at Muhlenberg, she currently enjoys her roles as president of Adopt-A-Grandparent and as a campus tour guide. In her free time, she enjoys reading new books, drinking 5 cups of tea per day, and playing the violin.

Baadal A. Vachhani '19 is a neuroscience major with minors in public health and philosophy from Parsippany, NJ. Baadal has worked as a learning assistant in Biology 150 and Biology 151 for the Academic Resource Center since the fall of 2016. He has also worked as a tutor in general chemistry, introductory biology, and calculus for the Academic Resource Center since the spring of 2016. Among his involvements, Baadal is most proud of his work as the head resident of Walz Hall as a part of the Office of Resident Services at Muhlenberg College and also as the president/founder of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AEΔ), the national pre-medical honor society. Baadal served as the captain of both the tennis and cross country teams during high school and continues to enjoy sports as a way to stay active during his free time.

Bennett spends time volunteering both at his hometown and Muhlenberg advocating for sexual assault and intimate partner violence awareness. My name is Dan DeRemigi '19, and I'm a math major and computer science minor from Stratford, NJ. I've worked for the ARC for three years now as a tutor, workshop tutor, and transition mentor. I tutored Calculus I, II, III and Transitions to Abstract Math. My future plan is to pursue graduate education in either applied mathematics or atmospheric/oceanic sciences. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and making other kinds of art.

Fall 2017 will be her first semester as a learning assistant. After graduating from Muhlenberg, Desiree intends to go to graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in neuropsychology. Erika Foerst 19' is a biology major and a chemistry and innovation & entrepreneurship minor from Jamison, PA. Erika has worked as a learning assistant and a tutor of the Academic Resource Center since the spring of 2016. She is a biology learning assistant and tutor for biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and Spanish. Throughout her academic career, Erika is most proud of establishing her own company, humm!ngbird, as well as winning first place in the 2017 Muhlenberg Innovation Challenge. In the future, Erika plans on attending medical school and partaking in active medical research. Outside of the classroom, Erika is an equestrian, violinist, campus tour guide, member of the pre-health club, and research student in Dr. Wightman's lab. She is also an active volunteer at Special Equestrians, Lehigh Valley Health Network, and Abington Hospital.

Jarred Graber '18 is a neuroscience and mathematics major from Springfield, NJ Jarred has worked for the Academic Resource Center as a tutor since spring of 2015, and has tutored peers in biology, general chemistry, and calculus. He was also the Calculus 2 workshop tutor for a semester, and the learning assistant for Calculus 1 in the fall of 2016. Jarred is planning to take a gap year to take the MCAT and work a little bit, and ultimately go to medical school to become a pediatric neurologist. In middle school, Jarred decided to pick up the guitar, to only put it back down because he could not even play Wonderwall correctly. However, he could play a mean 5th symphony by Beethoven on the violin.

Kayla Robinson '20 is from Hatboro, PA and is undecided but considering a chemistry major and a math minor. She became a tutor for General Chemistry I and Calculus II in the spring of 2017. Kayla has also been a work study at the front desk of the ARC since the fall of 2016. Kayla is involved with the Christian Appalachian Project and travels to Kentucky every summer to do volunteer work. Kelly Tornetta '19 is a physics and mathematics double major from Phoenixville, PA. Kelly has worked as a tutor for the Academic Resource Center since the spring semester of 2016. She tutors Calculus I, Calculus II, General Physics I and General Physics II. Kelly plans on continuing her education after Muhlenberg by pursuing a master's degree in aerospace engineering. Kelly has been playing volleyball for eight years, and now is a captain for the varsity volleyball team. In her free time, she volunteers at Last Chance Ranch, an animal shelter located in Quakertown, PA.

Meriel Conroy '18 is a psychology major from Needham, MA Meriel has worked for the ARC since spring of 2015 as a tutor and since fall of 2016 as a learning assistant. Aside from the ARC, Meriel is involved in cardinal key society, SOAP committee, and greek life around campus. In her free time, which is largely non-existent during this fall of her senior year, Meriel enjoys reading, running, and watching reruns of The Office and Friends on Netflix.

Molly Plotkin '19 is a psychology major with a public health minor from West Windsor, NJ. Molly has been a tutor since the beginning of her sophomore year, tutoring students in multiple psychology classes as well as in Chinese. She is involved widely on campus as a member of the Cardinal Key society, Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, and the Navigators Program which works with international students. In the future, she hopes to be an alcohol and substance abuse counselor, helping addicts and their families. In her youth, Molly loved to play the trumpet and once went on a world tour with her high school band to Germany, where she played in cathedrals with other high school bands.

Olivia Schwager '20 is a chemistry and math double major from Simsbury, CT. Olivia has worked as a tutor in the Academic Resource Center for General Chemistry I and Calculus II since the spring of 2017. She will be starting as a learning assistant for General Chemistry I in the fall of 2017. Outside of her classes, Olivia works on physical chemistry research with Dr. Anderson. Since the age of 5, Olivia has loved playing classical music on the piano in her free time, as well as singing in various choirs growing up.

After graduating Muhlenberg, Olivia plans to attend medical school. She is involved with several organizations in the community, including the Pre-Health Association and the Cardinal Key Society. Olivia is an avid volunteer and is most looking forward to starting an internship this semester with the Health Advocacy Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital - 17th Street. Taj Singh

Taj Singh ('19) is neuroscience major & sociology minor from Orwigsburg, PA. Taj has worked in the Academic Resource Center since the spring of 2016. He first began tutoring in sociology, biology, and chemistry before taking on the LA role for general chemistry in the fall of 2017. Among his involvements, Taj is most proud of his engagement in Top Naach, Muhlenberg's Indian dance and cultural club. He currently serves as president and is very proud of his work in helping found the club his freshmen year and helping spread Indian culture around the community. As a child, Taj used to call broccoli tiny trees and used to call his hair fur. He has come a long way since then.
