Training Opportunities
We will be offering a variety of training to the campus community.
Please see below for more comprehensive information on upcoming training sessions.
What types of training will be offered?
We will be offering a few types of training to meet the needs of as many individuals in our community as possible.
- Instructor-led sessions
- Faculty/Advisors, Academic Administrative Assistants, and student-facing staff will begin virutal training on March 2nd.
- Open Labs
- Student Labs: Drop-In virtual sessions for students are scheduled to begin on March 16th in anticipation of early April registration for Fall 2021
- Open Advising Labs: Drop-In virtual sessions for advisors are scheduled to begin on March 18th
- Help Guides
- Comprehensive guides will be available to walk individuals through major functions of Workday Student, depending on security access
- Video Tutorials
- Similar to HCM and Finance roll-outs, video guides will show step-by-step instructions on how to complete major functions of Workday Student

What type of training will be offered to students?
Students will not have specific instructor-led training sessions, but will have access to video tutorials, help guides, and virtual open labs in anticipation of upcoming registration for the Fall 2021 semester. Upcoming virtual lab dates are as follows:

Will there be any other opportunities for assistance as students and advisors prepare for registration?
Yes! In addition to the instructor-led faculty/advisor training sessions, help guides, and instructional videos, there will be Open Labs, which will focus on topics that will assist faculty, advisors, and students prepare for a successful registration in Workday Student.
I can't make it to any of the training sessions - what now?
In the event that your schedule doesn't allow you to attend any of the open labs that are currently scheduled, we still have a variety of tools to help you. We have help guides, video tutorials, and getting started checklists. All of this can be found on our Workday Guides and Tutorials site.
