What kinds of programs are available?
Students study abroad after completing their sophomore year. As a Muhlenberg student, you may study abroad for a semester, a year, or a summer. You may choose a program in which you are totally integrated into the university system of a foreign country. Alternately, you may choose a program in which you take courses with students at a foreign university but live in special international student housing. Finally, some Muhlenberg students participate in a small specialized program which may provide a variety of options for experiencing the day to day life of citizens of the host country, in addition to the course work undertaken by participating U.S. students.
Programs are selected based on three criteria:
They must support and supplement our curriculum.
They must meet the college’s financial constraints including our discount rate.
They must be programs that give our students a reasonable level of safety.
