Major Requirements


Students majoring in Russian Studies must successfully complete RUS 204 - Intermediate Russian II with a grade point average of at least 2.00 or demonstrate an equivalent command of the language. All students must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.00 in all courses completed for the major and minor in Russian Studies. 

Majors take nine courses beyond RUS 102 - Elementary Russian II, including:

RUS 304: Advanced Russian Conversation & Composition
RUS 380: Business Russian

Literature:

RUS 320: Russian Culture and Civilization 

Politics:
PSC 234: Russian Government and Politics

Electives: (Number required is dependent on Russian language proficiency)

PSC 201: Political Ideologies
ECN 334: International Trade and Globalization (if research project is focused on Russia)
