Kayleigh Thies For the second time this season, junior Kayleigh Thies of the Muhlenberg field hockey team was named player of the week by the Centennial Conference.

Thies was involved in three of five goals in a pair of one-goal wins for the Mules. After scoring the winning goal five minutes into the second overtime against Widener, she helped bring Muhlenberg back from a 2-0 deficit against 15th-ranked Ursinus with a goal and assist. The assist against Ursinus gave Thies a school-record 18 for her career. She is tied for sixth on the program’s all-time list with 72 career points.

For the season, Thies has scored a career-high 29 points, good for second in the CC. She leads the league with four game-winning goals.
