Bryan Auvil Sophomore Bryan Auvil of the Muhlenberg football team was named to the Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District 4 team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

District 4 consists of all NCAA colleges and universities in Pennsylvania. To be nominated for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average and a starter or significant reserve on his team.

Auvil will now advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

A chemistry major, Auvil has started every game at right tackle for a Muhlenberg offense that is averaging 36.6 points and more than 400 yards per game. One of the team’s most consistent linemen, Auvil won a starting job midway through his freshman season, and the Mules have averaged 37.0 points while compiling a record of 9-3 in his 12 career starts.

Auvil is part of the offensive line that was honored as Muhlenberg’s male athlete of the week and named to the team of the week after it paved the way for the team to run a school-record 97 plays in a 27-7 win at Juniata two weeks ago. He won the “Big Play” Award from coaching staff for a block he made in the Moravian game last year.
