Baseball Falls to Ursinus; Tennis Teams Defeated

Nick Plinio It took only four batters for the Muhlenberg baseball team to score its first run at Ursinus. But the second run never came.

The Mules (14-9, 2-2) had runners on base in every inning and in scoring position in seven of the nine innings but hit into four double plays and lost, 4-1.

Both Muhlenberg tennis teams were defeated at Salisbury in the first of two matches in Maryland this weekend. The women were swept by the regionally ranked Sea Gulls, 9-0, while the men lost 8-1. Junior Jason Teitelbaum and sophomore Eric Chavis teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles for the Mules’ lone point.
