Resnikoff, Bauer Honored by Centennial Conference

Sharen Resnikoff Two Muhlenberg athletes were honored by the Centennial Conference for their performances last weekend.

Tyler Bauer Sophomore Sharen Resnikoff was named women’s tennis player of the week after winning the deciding match at Washington. In the last match on the court, she overcame a 5-2 deficit in the third set, taking the last five games for a 7-5 victory that gave the Mules a 5-4 win. Resnikoff also posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles against Gettysburg, helping Muhlenberg to its first win of the season.

Resnikoff added a win yesterday against regionally ranked Haverford and leads the Mules in singles wins with an 8-5 record for the year, including a 4-1 mark in CC competition.

Sophomore Tyler Bauer was named men’s field athlete of the week after breaking the school record in the javelin for the second straight week. He threw 201-6 to finish first and set a facility record at the Muhlenberg Invitational.

Bauer’s distance is the best in the CC so far this season by more than 17 feet and is tied for ninth on the Division III performance list.
