The men’s and women’s squads earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and rising senior Tyler Bauer earned individual All-Academic honors.

To earn All-Academic Team honors, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.10 or higher. The Mule men combined for a 3.18 GPA, while the women clocked in with a 3.21. Muhlenberg was one of 92 colleges to have both its men’s and women’s teams recognized.

A total of 18 members of the track and field teams were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll following the outdoor season.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either of the following athletic standards: (1) competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or (2) finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA performance list.

Bauer, a double major in biology and music, earned All-America honors for the second straight year by placing sixth in the javelin at the NCAA Championships. The three-time Centennial Conference javelin champion also was a first-team Academic All-American.

In the last 15 years, the Muhlenberg cross country and track teams have received a total of 82 certificates from the USTFCCCA for academic achievement.
