Service-Learning at Muhlenberg

Community Service & Civic Engagement

Academic Service- Learning is a form of experiential education in which students and faculty collaborate with community partners to design programs and projects that are mutually beneficial and a rigorous learning experience.

Muhlenberg faculty and community partners teach over 20 courses annually using this pedagogy representing 9 departments, 17 faculty and more than 25 community partners. Opportunities also exist for community-based participatory research and projects.

If you are interested in taking a service-learning course, partnering with faculty or community organizations or just want more information please contact Beth Halpern at 484-664-3158 or
