Charlene Jones, MD
Charlene grew up in Raleigh, NC, the daughter of two college professors. She was blessed with a fantastic sports medicine teacher in high school who opened her eyes to the field and instilled in her a love for all things musculoskeletal. She graduated from Duke University in 2005 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Cultural Anthropology and in Classical Studies after spending four years as a student athletic trainer, working with all of the sports teams but primarily the football team. She went on to Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA where she continued to explore her love for musculoskeletal medicine. After pursuing a Master’s in Public Health from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice in Hanover, NH in 2013, she graduated from medical school in 2014 with her Doctor of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA where she continued to pursue opportunities in sports medicine both on and off the sidelines. Charlene is excited to complete her medical training as a fellow for the Lehigh Valley Sports Medicine Program. She hopes to practice as a pediatric sports medicine physician and merge her love for musculoskeletal medicine, wellness, and nutrition in serving children in the greater Philadelphia area. In her free time, Charlene enjoys baking, cooking, movies, and college basketball.
