Paolo Balmaseda, MD
Paolo was born in Maple Glen, PA and raised in Terre Haute, IN. He was exposed to medicine at a young age, as both of his parents are physiatrist. He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School and went on to attend Indiana University where he earned his B.S. in Biotechnology. After, he completed his medical school training at Ross University. During medical school, he started to explore his interest in musculoskeletal medicine. He was the treasurer for the Sports Medicine Club and commissioner of one of the intramural sports. He moved close to home for his training in Family Medicine at Community Health in Indianapolis, IN. He completed a sports medicine track at the residency. He also spent time doing sideline coverage at Beech Grove high school and various events around Indianapolis. For the next phase of his training, Paolo is excited to be joining Lehigh Valley Health Network and continuing his education in Primary Care Sports Medicine. In his spare time, Paolo enjoys spending time with his family, friends and fiancé, traveling, Philly sport teams, playing video games and cooking.
