Berg Opening Virtual Doors
Challenge

Submit your ideas August 27th - September 9th

Have a great idea about how to connect our community this fall? Want to see your idea brought to life? Want to win a cash prize for your idea?

Announcing the Opening Virtual Doors Challenge!

The Opening Virtual Doors Challenge is open to all Muhlenberg students, and is your opportunity to develop and execute your idea with the help of the offices of student and academic life.

The Problem: Since Covid-19 forced the closure of campus in the spring we have ALL been feeling a sense of loss about the feeling of community that makes Muhlenberg special. How do ensure that we don’t lose that sense of community now that we are scattered across the globe? How do we keep opening doors for others when they aren’t on campus?

The Challenge: With the spirit of innovation and the goal of empowering student voices we are challenging the student body to share their ideas for a new activity, experience, or other new way of maximizing student connections at Muhlenberg. This could be a one time event, a semester long experience, or a new process or strategy that develops an innovative solution to the problem of connection. Ideas can address the academic community as a whole, connections between students and faculty, connections between students, new fun social activities that will bring Berg together, learning communities that you create among your fellow students, etc. The only requirements are that your idea promotes community connection and that it is feasible (financially and logistically) to implement during the fall semester.
