The Philosophy Department gives out two awards.
The Moyer Award is awarded to a senior philosophy major who has achieved outstanding scholastic records, loves wisdom, has developed the powers of critical thinking, and has fostered the spirit of philosophical inquiry.
The Socrates Award is awarded to a senior philosophy major who has shown an exceptional passion for and accomplishment in philosophy by developing the knowledge, skills, and mindset for effective philosophical inquiry, collaboration, and critical problem solving.
