Discover something new.

Summer research at Muhlenberg started in the 1950s, long before most small, liberal arts colleges had any such programs.

A student works on choreography for a dance research project inside a dance studio.

Become a part of Muhlenberg’s history of immersive research, where questions are asked and theories tested within every field and across disciplines — from chemistry to art history. You can work with faculty on an ongoing research topic or design a new research project to tackle with faculty guidance. And you'll be earning a unit of credit toward your degree during the experience.

Funding from a variety of sources helps offset costs, allowing you to remain on campus or travel to research sites that are part of recurring research partnerships — such as Long Island’s Brookhaven National Laboratory, home of one of the world’s two hadron colliders, or University of Washington’s Friday Harbor Labs, a premier marine ecology research lab on the west coast.

How To Get Involved in Student Research

A large number of college students, faculty and staff peruse a research poster session in a large, open hallway with the Baker Center for the Arts.

Celebration of Scholarship

Every year students from across the curriculum present their research and scholarship in this interdisciplinary poster fair to showcase their hard work and discoveries.
