Muhlenberg College is committed to being a good citizen of the Earth, and to making institutional decisions that are mindful of our complex relations with global and local ecosystems.

We strive to unite management, faculty, staff, and students in a collaborative effort to create a sustainable institution and to minimize negative environmental impacts of our day to day operation. Muhlenberg College fosters sustainability by integrating environmental science, policy and ethics across our curricula, research, operations, partnerships and planning.

MMuhlenberg College is a member of the Association of University Leaders for a Sustainable Future (ULSF), an international organization of signatories to the Talloires Declaration that is committed to higher education leadership for the advancement of global environmental literacy. Muhlenberg is also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
