Visual Identity and Registered Marks
It is important for Muhlenberg College to project and maintain a consistent image of quality, integrity and commitment to all internal and external audiences. For many individuals, their first or only contact with Muhlenberg is through its publications and digital media. Therefore it is important that we maintain a consistent visual identity.
The Muhlenberg College logo is one of several registered trademarks that anchor our visual identity standards and upholds the brand of the college. These standards produce a cohesive look from one part of the College to another. They allow for instant recognition that something or someone is a part of Muhlenberg. The Office of Communications is charged with upholding the College’s visual identity standards and maintaining the integrity of the brand. Logo Use
The Muhlenberg College logo anchors the College’s visual identity standards. It should not be altered in any way, including through cropping, dismantling, stretching, changing colors, adding other elements, etc. The Office of Communications is home to the various, approved versions of the logo, which can be requested on an as-needed basis. Can I create my own logo?
Muhlenberg's policy does not allow for divisions within the College to create their own logos. To maintain the brand, there are specific typographical treatment options available.
