The School of Continuing Studies offers flexible certification programs for adults preparing to become licensed PreK–12 teachers in Pennsylvania. Whether you’re completing your bachelor’s degree or seeking a stand-alone certification, Muhlenberg provides a clear, supportive pathway into the classroom.

Testing and State Requirements
All Pennsylvania certification programs require:
Passing scores on PDE-approved exams (e.g., Praxis, PECT)
A minimum 3.0 overall GPA for certification
Completion of field experience and student teaching
