Our Mission
The Muhlenberg College Office of Communications and Marketing advances Muhlenberg College — its reputation, strategic priorities, mission, and core values — by creating and managing strategic communications, providing creative leadership and resources, and responsibly managing the college’s brand and related assets. We work inclusively, collaboratively, and collegially with partners throughout the college, helping to guide and amplify the voices of the college community, its faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as they speak to both internal and external audiences. We contribute meaningfully to the educational mission of the college, striving for excellence, seeking innovation, and working with a sense of mission and purpose.
For the Media
We’re happy to assist members of the media with identifying faculty experts, pursuing stories on campus, and scheduling interviews with students, faculty, or staff.
On-campus reporting, photography, and videography are not permitted on Muhlenberg’s campus without prior permission. Because the campus is private property, the news media is not allowed inside classrooms, dining halls, or residence halls without express authorization.

How We Help Campus Partners
Working with partners across campus is an integral part of what we do and an essential way of sharing and amplifying the incredible work being done by the Muhlenberg community — including students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Faculty, staff, and students can request our services using BergConnect, Muhlenberg’s intranet platform.
Storytelling
Our students, alumni, faculty, and staff make an impact in the world every day. We share these stories in online articles, through the creation of compelling video content, and within Muhlenberg Magazine, our college publication. Each of these channels offers a powerful way to reach prospective students, faculty, and staff as well as our campus community and generous alumni and parent network.
Graphic Design
Consistent, top-quality design is an essential part of our communications strategy. Our office works across campus to ensure all public-facing materials communicate effectively and accessibly to make a memorable impression while aligning with the established branding of Muhlenberg College.
Event Promotion and Media Relations
Spreading the word about Muhlenberg events, initiatives, and college achievements helps further connect the campus community and provides an opportunity to advance Muhlenberg’s reputation. In addition to helping promote campus events internally and externally, we link local and national media outlets with Muhlenberg faculty and administrators who can share their expertise through interviews and editorials.
Social Media Management
We manage Muhlenberg College’s main social media accounts, amplifying stories, sharing important communications, and fostering connections between the campus community, our future students, and our alumni. We provide strategy, support, and other assistance for college-affiliated accounts.
Website Content Creation and Maintenance
We help maintain the content and messaging across the Muhlenberg College website and its affiliates. This online presence is a crucial marketing tool for the college in the recruitment of students, faculty, and staff. We work with campus partners to shape content and design a web presence that aligns with Muhlenberg priorities and creates an accessible and pleasant user experience.
Internal Communications
We send the Berg Bulletin, a weekly email update for students, faculty, and staff, and assist with messaging that goes through BergConnect, Muhlenberg’s intranet platform.
