The Muhlenberg Curriculum
The Muhlenberg curriculum requires students to explore across disciplines and to learn by doing. The result? Well-rounded graduates who know something about a lot of things --- and often a lot about one thing --- with the critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills necessary to lead and succeed.
Signature Experiences
First-Year Seminars
First-year seminars are small, discussion-oriented courses that provide the opportunity to work closely with a faculty member and develop critical thinking, reading, and writing skills.
Student Research
At Muhlenberg, research is a fundamental example of hands-on learning and a distinct part of the undergraduate experience. Our students conduct research across all disciplines, including the arts and the humanities as well as the natural and social sciences.
Study Abroad

Shankweiler Scholars
As a liberal arts pre-medical experience, Shankweiler Scholars offers a curriculum that supports exploration of the human dimensions of the practice of medicine in addition to the standard preparation for medical school.

Accounting
The college’s accounting program stands out, and you will too. Its graduates combine certified public accountant (CPA) exam readiness with liberal arts sophistication in just four years of study.
