Semester Research
Muhlenberg offers ample opportunities to collaborate with faculty on projects during the academic year.
Research at Muhlenberg College happens year-round. Students can register for independent research credit as part of their normal course load; many students carry out research with a faculty mentor for several semesters. This long-term work allows for a deep mentorship experience and a greater impact for research outcomes, like presentations at national or international conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
One Student’s Ongoing Research Project
Neuroscience major Teigan Brown ’25 explains the project she pursued for more than a year, in which she collected eggs from living frogs and used them to explore the anti-anxiety properties of a medicinal herb.
