Graduate and Continuing Studies Scholarships

For Both Graduate and Adult Undergraduate Students
This program is designed to support federal, state, and local government workers who have lost their jobs due to layoffs. This program also extends benefits to each of Muhlenberg’s corporate partners. Qualifying students may receive an estimated scholarship value of up to $5,250 for graduate programs and $5,000 for undergraduate degree-completion programs. This scholarship will be applied to their student account as a 15% tuition reduction on every course. Displaced workers from our partner institutions will receive the scholarship benefit of the highest value, whether from the partner agreement or the displaced worker program. Applicants must meet the college’s admissions requirements, have at least two years of work experience, and provide documentation verifying displaced worker status within one year of separation from their position. The scholarship remains in effect for the duration of the academic program, regardless of changes in employment status. This scholarship may not be combined with other institutional tuition reductions.
Employees of select partners may be eligible for a tuition scholarship when enrolling in a master’s or accelerated bachelor’s degree program at Muhlenberg. The scholarship is also extended to the employee’s spouse or partner and children who enroll in School of Graduate Studies programs or School of Continuing Studies accelerated degree completion programs.
Muhlenberg College and the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education value and support our city of Allentown community partners. A scholarship equal to a 20% tuition discount per class is available to active members of the Allentown fire, police, or emergency management services departments enrolled in one of our graduate studies or continuing studies programs.
Muhlenberg College and the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education value and support our military personnel. A scholarship equal to a 20% tuition discount per class is available to active and reserve servicemembers and veterans enrolled in one of our graduate studies or continuing studies programs.
For Graduate Students Only
The Mules Advantage Scholarship is available to Muhlenberg alumni who enroll in one of our graduate programs. Eligible students will receive a tuition discount of 20% on each course throughout their program. This scholarship can not be combined with other Muhlenberg tuition discounts.
For Adult Undergraduate Students Only
This scholarship is available to students aged 25 or older who are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and:
- Have completed at least half the requirements toward their intended degree with either full-time (3 or more course units) or half-time (2 course units) enrollment
- Are maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have unmet financial need as demonstrated by completing the FAFSA
This scholarship covers tuition benefits for two courses per semester. Eligible students must be active in community service, with a demonstrated financial need per the FAFSA. Recipients will be selected by the GCE scholarship committee.
This scholarship is available to students who have completed at least four courses at Muhlenberg College who have demonstrated financial need and are considered independent per the FAFSA. Students may apply using the GCE application for financial aid.
