Teaching Interests

I am sincerely interested in all aspects of the teaching and learning process. I am particularly interested in teaching future teachers how to set and uphold expectations that all of their students can and will be successful given time and appropriate instruction. Teaching future teachers tools to make this a reality is a privilege. As a mathematician, I am especially interested in teaching how to teach mathematics in a way that makes the content and skills accessible to learners on all levels.

Research and Scholarship

The majority of my research is practical because it involves staying abreast of the many and ever-changing requirements for teacher certification in the state of Pennsylvania as well as any other states in which our students wish to acquire teacher certification. This is an ongoing process of research and application to my course requirements.
