Student Government Association
Advocating for students and providing support for student organizations
About Us
The mission of Muhlenberg College’s Student Government Association is to engage with, advocate for, and relay information to the greater Muhlenberg community. SGA is the primary bridge between the Muhlenberg administration and the student body, encouraging conversation and collaboration in order to create necessary changes and prioritize student needs.
Members of SGA at Welcome Weekend
SGA is composed of 25 students, including a president, a vice president, a recording secretary, a director of communications, a campus engagement chair, a DEIB chair, a treasurer, and representatives. All are elected by the student body.
Regular meetings are held weekly as the academic schedule permits. Members of the student body are invited to attend to observe their government in action or to raise issues and concerns.
SGA is responsible for coordinating the representation of the student body on all institutional, faculty, ad hoc, and Board of Trustee committees. A student need not be a member of SGA to serve as that voice, but will be expected to meet regularly with the SGA.
The Muhlenberg College Student Government Association is a founding member of the American Student Government Association.
