Housing for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
Older students can choose to live in residence halls, apartments, or college-owned houses.
The residential experience is a critical part of a Muhlenberg education, and students live on campus for all four years. After a student’s first year, options expand to include suites, apartments, and college-owned homes.

Robertson and South Halls
Robertson Hall and South Hall are located on a hillside overlooking Cedar Beach Park, near Benfer Hall and the Trexler Pavilion. The halls feature four-person suites that each include single bedrooms, a restroom, a shower room, a two-person sink vanity, a common living space, and a galley kitchen. The halls include two large recreational rooms with full kitchens and TV in a second-floor mezzanine area. Each set of eight suites share a spacious lounge area.
Brown Hall
Constructed in 1916, Brown Hall is Muhlenberg's second-oldest residence hall, housing students of all class years in singles, doubles, and triples spanning the four floors of the residence hall. Brown's rooms are unique in shape and size because of their construction. And the hall is home to the Brown Dance Studio, where dance and aerial acrobatics classes are held.
East Hall
East is Muhlenberg’s oldest residence hall, dating back to 1903, making each room in East unique in its size, shape, and design. East Hall was completely renovated in 2015 and its amenities now include laundry rooms, several study lounges, common kitchens, six rooms with semi-private bathrooms, and central air conditioning.
Benfer Hall
Benfer Hall, built in 1965, offers suite-style living for groups of eight students who are in their second, third, or fourth years at Muhlenberg. The hall has central air conditioning and is coed by suite. Each suite includes four bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, and a private entrance. Benfer Hall also houses a laundry room for residents.
Taylor Hall
Built in 1996, Taylor Hall houses 114 students in double rooms. Each room is air-conditioned and has a semi-private bathroom. Taylor Hall has study lounges on the first and fourth floors and a larger lounge and kitchen on the lower level.
The Village
Introduced in the fall of 2007, The Village consists of five buildings along the hillside overlooking Cedar Beach Park. Each building has three floors and each unit has a double and three singles. The Village offers apartment-style living in a picturesque, wooded, secluded setting.
2201 Chew Street
Located at the corner of 22nd and Chew Streets, this residence hall opened in the spring of 2007. It offers two doubles to a suite, providing students in their second, third, and fourth years another housing option.
