Residential Communities and Housing Accommodations
Muhlenberg is committed to supporting residential students’ interests and needs through a variety of unique housing options and accommodations.
Themed Residential Communities (TRC)
The college has created a number of these communities, while others have been created by students. TRC examples include the Tree House (for sustainability-minded students), the Music Box (for students passionate about music), and the Pride House (for LGBTQ+ students). Can’t find the perfect fit? Gender-Inclusive Housing
Gender-inclusive housing, where students are able to select a roommate of any gender, is available to all students, from first-years to seniors. Gender-inclusive bathrooms are also available in select residence halls and Prosser, Walz, and Brown have dedicated gender inclusion wings. As a part of Muhlenberg's commitment to inclusion, we welcome individuals to use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity. Anyone who does not identify with a gender binary is welcome to use any bathroom in the building regardless of gender, gender identity, or gender expression.
Substance-Free Housing
The Muhlenberg College Substance-Free Housing community provides a nurturing space for students of all class years. It normalizes a substance-free lifestyle where students can feel free to engage in a social life without using alcohol or other drugs. The approach of this community is holistic, emphasizing and supporting a substance-free lifestyle as a fundamental component while also prioritizing the overall well-being of its residents.
Special Housing Accommodations
Muhlenberg’s Office of Disability Services (ODS) can help students who require accommodations based on medical conditions. Current students can find specific details about how to submit a request on BergConnect.
