Applying for Need-Based Aid

To be considered for federal, state, and Muhlenberg need-based aid (including grants, work-study, and loans), students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Submitting the FAFSA is free and provides access to the largest source of college financial aid.

  • Who uses it: Muhleberg, the federal government and PHEAA (for the PA State Grant) all use your FAFSA to determine aid eligibility.
  • When to apply: The FAFSA must be submitted each year.

All students who receive a financial aid offer need to complete the Muhlenberg College Scholarship and Aid Application upon enrollment at the College.

Getting Started

  • First-time applicants must create an FSA ID and password.
  • Dependent students also need a parent FSA ID to sign electronically.
  • Muhlenberg’s Federal School Code is 003304
