Meet Our Mascot

Marti the Mule

Not just another lion, tiger, or bear. Muhlenberg is one of only three colleges in the country with a mule for a mascot!

Our Facilities

Scotty Wood Stadium

Scotty Wood Stadium

Scotty Wood Stadium is the 3,000-seat home to Muhlenberg’s football, field hockey, men’s lacrosse, and track and field teams.

The Life Sports Center

The Life Sports Center

The Life Sports Center, overlooking Scotty Wood Stadium, is the hub of Muhlenberg athletics, and houses the cardio center, weight room, training room and locker rooms, with access to Memorial Hall, Alumni Pool, and the John Deitrich Field House.

Memorial Hall

Wide view of a gymnasium set up for a wrestling meet, with a large white wrestling mat centered on the hardwood floor. Team benches and athletes line the far side of the mat, while bleachers rise on the left. Large wall banners show Muhlenberg College athletes, and a basketball hoop hangs above the court.

Memorial Hall, built in 1954, is the historic home to the college’s basketball, wrestling, and volleyball teams.

John Deitrich Field House

The John Deitrich Field House, located across the corridor from Memorial Hall, was constructed in 1982 and refurbished in 2004. It serves as a busy practice center for many sports, is the winter home of the track and field team, and hosts large wrestling invitationals.

Jeff Morris ’82 Field

Jeff Morris ’82 Field

Also home to women’s lacrosse, Jeff Morris ’82 Field has been the home of Muhlenberg soccer since the inception of the men’s program in 1943.

Muhlenberg Softball Field

Several college athletes and a college president stand on a new softball field

Muhlenberg’s new softball field opened in 2025 between Jeff Morris '82 Field and Scotty Wood Stadium, making NCAA softball easily accessible to student-athletes and fans.

Bicentennial Park

Bicentennial Park

Renovation of Allentown’s historic Bicentennial Park — baseball’s new home located at Lehigh and South Howard Streets — began in 2024 and concluded in 2025.

Kern Field Courts

Kern Field Courts

The Muhlenberg tennis teams play outdoor home matches on the college’s six lighted Kern Field Courts, located just off of Chew Street.

Mule Spirit in Action

Across campus, you’ll find countless ways to stay active, lead, and connect through club and intramural sports and athletic-focused organizations.

Whether you’re looking to compete in ultimate frisbee or fencing, climb at a local gym with the Rock Climbing Club, swim for fitness and camraderie, or hit the slopes with the Winter Sports Club, there’s a space for you here.

Athletics at Muhlenberg also means leadership and impact. Organizations like the Muhlenberg Leadership Team (MALT) connect student-athletes with the broader community, while Head in the Game creates space for honest discussion about the mental health challenges athletes can face.

From competitive club sports to wellness-focused student organizations, the Mule spirit extends well beyond our Division III programs.

Explore the latest intramural and athletic-focused student clubs and organizations below.
