The best performers, the best singers, the best athletes, the best writers, the best executives — they have one thing in common: great coaches. The Muhlenberg College coaching program pairs every incoming student with a personalized team who ensures they maximize their potential and take advantage of holistic opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
Providing 360-degree support for every student from the moment they arrive on campus, the program builds on Muhlenberg's robust academic advising by pairing students with a career counselor and college life coach in addition to their faculty advisors.
Academic advisors help you chart your educational journey from as early as the summer before your first year. Your advisor may change as you declare your major but their stake in your academic success remains.
Deepen your involvement in Muhlenberg activities by connecting with a student life coach. These folks, who are sometimes older peers in addition to College faculty and staff, can offer perspective and guidance spanning all aspects of co-curricular and residential life.
You can work with a coach to help you navigate your Muhlenberg Action Plan (MAP). This will help you prioritize activities that will have the maximum impact on career readiness, all customized to wherever you may be in your Muhlenberg journey.
Your coaching team at Muhlenberg will include professors, career counselors and even peers.

“Students might think advisors just care about your grades. Here at Muhlenberg, that’s not the case. A lot of our professors want to know how we’re doing and to get to know us as a person.”— Marcelina Palmer ’27 , First-Year Student
“I wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t go to Muhlenberg. Learning how to talk about being in the industry and [networking] — I don’t think I would have done [that] as a freshman at any other school.”— Adrienne Ellison ’23 , Economics and Finance Double Major
“She nurtured me as a student but also as a person. Because we had fostered that connection together... it really made me want to keep going.”— Alissa Le '23 , Neuroscience Major

Asiema, a pre-law international studies major, is looking at both history and today’s society to understand why gender inequality still exists and how it connects to politics and tradition.
Swartz, an English and creative writing and political science double major, is conducting research that bridges both disciplines.
A team of three dedicated faculty and staff coaches guides each incoming student as they learn to make the most of the opportunities available on campus.
