Transfer Student FAQs

Students seeking a flexible and fast degree completion pathway can learn more about the requirements for transferring by visiting our School of Continuing Studies transfer page.

Muhlenberg offers two transfer options. Students who want a traditional full-time college experience on campus apply through undergraduate transfer admissions.

Students who need a flexible schedule while balancing work or other responsibilities may complete their bachelor’s degree through accelerated programs offered by the School of Continuing Studies. Preference is given to students who’ve completed the full 16 credits necessary to earn an associate degree.

Students typically choose the undergraduate pathway if they want a full-time traditional college experience. This includes students looking to participate in clubs, organizations, and activities, as well as athletics. These students choose to live on campus or commute for in-person learning. The academic experience for these students is full-time and rigorous, and is coupled with supportive advising from Muhlenberg’s innovative coaching program.

Students who are working full-time or returning to college after several years often choose the accelerated degree completion pathway. Students who choose the accelerated pathway can finish their bachelor’s degree online in as little as 22 months through a fast-track structure consisting of 15 intensive five-week courses and one 10-week capstone.
